À la base du chemin de la méditation résident l’attention que nous portons à la vraie nature des choses et notre capacité de vivre en gardant un cœur et un esprit éveillé. Des sources d’inspiration, capables d’aider ceux qui l’empruntent à demeurer dédiés à ce chemin, peuvent être trouvées dans trois refuges : le Bouddha − la conscience, le Dharma − la vérité (les choses telles qu’elles sont) et le Sangha − l’amour dans le lien. Au cours de cet atelier, nous explorerons chacun de ces refuges, examinerons notre tendance à nous tourner vers de faux refuges et apprendrons des outils et techniques pour nous aider à trouver la liberté dans notre vie de tous les jours.

This course will explore meditation as a practice of awareness and awakening: in-class as we practice or teach, and outside the classroom in our daily lives. Meditation instruction will include seated and walking practices, as well as dyad and group explorations. We will also examine the inter-relationship of meditation, breath and asana to better understand how body, emotions, and sensations can bring us deeper into any practice form. Various forms and practices will be explored, helping each student find an approach that works best for them.

À travers quelques méditations guidées et un discours, apprendre l'importance des sentiments, et comment les traiter habilement afin qu'aucune partie de vous ne soit laissé de côté.

The in-between moments of waiting in line or between meetings used to be opportunities to pause and reflect, but now have become moments where we tune into the world instead of tuning into ourselves. There's no need to shun technology though; together we'll discover how it can be a fruitful part of your practice. This class will begin with a short seated meditation, followed by a discussion, and end with a meditation with our phones in hand!

The accessible sequences are designed to open our awareness to see that sensations, however tense they may be, are not as dense, opaque, or heavy as they may feel. Our guided meditations will explore how in much the same way our thoughts and identities are not as dense, opaque or heavy as they may seem. You will leave with lightness in body and heart-mind, your own set of therapy massage balls, and a routine you can do on your own to support your meditation practice.
